Dr. Rollin and Wendy Grams

Dr. Grams has served at Gordon-Conwell-Charlotte and is presently working with United World Mission.

Born in South Africa to missionary parents, Dr. Grams has spent much of the past 20 years overseas as a missionary in theological education. He has lived in Croatia, England, Kenya and Ethiopia. He taught full-time at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology in Kenya, the Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; and the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia. He also served as a visiting lecturer at the Asia Theological Centre for Evangelism and Mission in Singapore. From 1999-2005, he lectured and tutored students at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in the United Kingdom. He is currently a lecturer in New Testament at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague, where he is also a research tutor and a supervisor in the doctoral program.

Dr. Grams has worked as an editor for Transformation, an academic journal on holistic mission published in the UK, and as the programme director for the M.A. in Biblical Studies at Evangelical Theological Seminary, Osijek, Croatia. He is currently the SIM-USA theological education coordinator and a member of the Tyndale Fellowship in the UK. He worships at the Church at Charlotte (Evangelical Free) in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Grams’ scholarly interests include the integration of New Testament studies with missions, ethics and theological interpretation. Within New Testament studies, his interests lie in biblical ethics, Pauline theology, the Gospel of Matthew and biblical and philosophical hermeneutics. He is also writing a mission biography on his parents’ work in South Africa.

Dr. Grams’ personal interests include European history and gardening. He and his wife, Wendy, live with their three children, David, James and Rachel, in Charlotte, NC.
