It’s time to start thinking about Summer Camp! We have begun the planning for this summer, and are excited to share our themes and ideas with you. Our main theme for Summer Camp is the Olympics. Under this theme, camp will follow two main directions; sports and multi-cultural. Each week we will learn and play a specific sport, as well as have a specific country that we a will learn about. We will also have a strong focus on math, science, reading, writing, crafts and cooking! We are looking at having a very active and busy summer! Our field trips include; the YMCA, Water Parks, Tropical Falls Putt-Putt, and Covenant Hills Campground.
This year we would like to invite in our Latchkey or Summer Camp parents who work in a community service profession. We are looking for these parents to come in and talk to the kids about their job, why they enjoy it, why they chose that position, and if possible bring something in to show us. We would love to see as many parents as possible involved! The visit would only take approximately 30 minutes. If you would be interested in coming in, please talk to one of the Latchkey staff or Ms. Jennifer as soon as possible so we can get a date and time set up for the summer.
This year’s Summer Camp packets will only be available online. When filling out your packet, please make sure to fill it out completely. Last summer, camp filled up very quickly, as a result of that this year we are taking families on a “first come, first serve” basis. Please have your completed packet returned to us no later than Friday April 20th to reserve your spot.
The following is our working calendar of events for the summer.
This will be modified as we continue to do our planning for the Summer.
